Please Note: Academy workshops are training sessions that will build your skills through hands-on, deep dive education. Our Academy Courses do require a separate registration. If you are registering for the Power Platform World Tour, you will have the option to add on Academy classes during the registration process.

To edit your registration, please click here and follow these steps:
This will bring you to the Registration page – you will see a message stating "You are currently Registered." Click on Edit Registration (right side of screen).
When you see your registration, click Edit.
On the next screen, click Add Activities.
Check the box next to the class title you're interested in.
Follow the prompts to complete the process of adding this class to your registration.

Power Query and DAX are the important components of Power BI. They help you clean and analyze huge amounts of data.

During this full-day workshop, Mike Carlo (Microsoft Data Platform MVP & Co-Owner of PowerBI.Tips) will teach through practical exercises and real life scenarios.

Participants are provided with the slides, exercises, and solutions for this workshop.

Learning Objectives:
- Power Query: Deep Dive and Best practices (morning)
- Data Modelling: the why and how ? Understanding the Power BI engine - Best practices and optimization (morning - afternoon)
- DAX: Calculated Columns, Measures, Time-Intelligence Calculations (afternoon). Best practices and optimization.

Audience: Business Analyst, Data Analyst, IT analyst.

Level: Beginner to Intermediate. Advanced users are also welcome, especially for the best practices.

Prerequisites: A very basic knowledge of Power BI. Bring in your laptops with Power BI Desktop installed (Latest Version Preferred).

Preparation: Bring Laptops, with Latest Version of Power BI installed.
